Jeff Pelzel is the Director of Executive Leadership Engagement at PowerSchool where he serves as a bridge between the sales team and school district leaders. Jeffs pent 28 years working in public education in Washington State (20 years) and California (8 years). He began his career as a high school math and psychology teacher before transitioning into various leadership roles at the school and district level. Most recently, he was the Superintendent in the Newhall School District in Valencia, California leading a high achieving elementary school district through the Pandemic and a ransomware attack. Jeff is an equity-focused, well-respected, visionary leader. He is adept at building personal connections and instilling a common vision and drive towards accelerated success. He also possesses a comprehensive knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and staff development. Under his leadership, in 2018, four schools in the Newhall School District received the Innovate Public Schools Award for efforts supporting Latino students in reading or mathematics. Three schools were recognized as 2019 National Blue Ribbon Schools of Academic Excellence. In 2022, three schools received California Distinguished School recognition.
